Exxon Mobil Corp (XOM) Profile

Exxon Mobil Corp is an American Multinational Oil Gas company and is the largest of the companies descended from the break-up of John D. Rockefeller’s Standard Oil company and the 12th largest company in the world by revenue. The company is the result of a Merger between Exxon and Mobil in 1999. The company is currently recovering from a significant drop in price and net income losses of over 22 billion in 2020 caused by the covid-19 pandemic that resulted in decreased demand for fuel. Exxonmobil has remained steady though, with plenty of cash to cover their losses as well as continuing to pay dividends. ExxonMobil has a strong dividend history and a very high current dividend yield of 5.7%. ExxonMobil seems to be recovering well, having stopped making losses in Q1 of 2021 they had a net income of 2.73 Billion, signalling that they could have a strong recovery going forward.
