Telstra Corporation Limited (TLS.xasx) is a telecommunications company that builds and operates telecommunications networks and markets voice, mobile, internet access, pay television and other products and services headquartered in Sydney, Australia. Τelstra Corp Limited (TLS.xasx) is a member of the S&P/ASX 20 and is Australia's largest telecommunications company by market share with 18.8M subscribers in 2020, $21.56B (AUD) in 2021 yearly revenues and a market cap of $48.52 (AUD) as of November 2021. Telstra was one of three companies of the ASX 200 to gain in the week starting 15 March in the middle of the global COVID-19 pandemic crisis in 2020. It increased by 1.8% on the Australian Securities Exchange Ltd (ASX). Telstra operates predominantly in Australia with 28,960 employees and is based in 20 countries outside of Australia with a significant headcount of 3,500 employees providing services to thousands of business, government, carrier and OTT customers. Telstra switched on 5G services in more than 100 regional cities and towns, including Port Douglass in Queensland, Yass in New South Wales and Devonport in Tasmania and confirmed to shareholders the agreement of buying the Digicel Pacific for $2.3B (AUD) to boost their presence in the region. Τesltra plans to take back full ownership of its 337 retail stores finishing at the end of 2021.
